Good morning, afternoon, and evening my friends and family! It surely has been a while as life has been amazingly hectic on this side of the planet but I am super excited to share a summary of what happened this past 3 months.
Revival and Reformation
As you remember, I am busy staffing a school called Rev&Ref and we finally finished our first quarter which was the Bible portion of the school. Afterward, we went on a 10-day strike trip and I had the privilege to lead 10 other people to the nation of Uganda! We.went to the middle of the bush of Uganda where people live, not on time, but on the sun's position and how hot it is. Yes, that is how rural those people are and it was an immense honor to have gone to them and bring the gospel and discipleship to them!
Our team decided to split into two different villages. Me and 3 friends taught on the bible for about 6 hours in total and saw healings and salvations which changed our lives. a Story that wrecked me which I want to share is, that we were teaching how you can hear God's voice through reading the bible. a woman who is saved, stood up and asked us that what we are teaching is great, but they cannot read, how do they experience his voice through the bible...? This destroyed me! The injustice that is happening that people cannot experience God through his written word is something I decided to devout myself to see changed. (Hint to next post about EBPN)
Jesus week
We as FFSA run a program once in a while called Jesus Week in Potchefstroom. All that it is is we are going to the local university hostiles from Monday to Wednesday night. We split into teams and go with the gospel and the voice of Jesus to minister to them and do whatever God says to do. Then, on Thursday night we have a massive worship night where hundreds of students come to worship Jesus and exalt his name and commit to living as true Christians for Jesus! We are planning to rn another big one in the month of August...so stay tuned for more!
General Life
Daily life has honestly been the best so far. We as RTC are continuing our local classes on the built and next to a local coffee shop, reaching people through the avenue of sport and fitness with the gospel. We are also worshipping every Tuesday in different local churches to bless the community with an opportunity to come together and exalt his name. In a couple of months, we are also going to go from around 60 staff to over 100 which is blowing our minds, God is definitely moving in this town so do come and say hi whenever you can!
